  • In this intuitive, dreamscape painting class students will explore letting go of preconceived ideas; allowing their imagination to be sparked by the instructor’s prompts. We will be working with mixed media / acrylic paint on canvas. All levels welcome. 8 student maximum. Supplies needed for the class include acrylic primary colors + black and white and a 16X20 inch stretched canvas. Bring a spray bottle, old credit/gift cards and rags, optional.

2-WEEK CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY USING YOUR PHONE with Jeffrey Hall. Tuition $100 for the two week course.

Saturdays, June 8th and 22nd from 9 to 11 am
Students will explore the urban area including local parks and wetlands, learning how to take creatively stunning photos with the cameras on their phones. Then return to the classroom and discuss the different elements of design, composition and what it takes to achieve artistic results. See great examples and learn how to use just a few easy apps to enhance your photos and spark your creative energy.
Bring your phone (that has a camera—old phones are just fine) with the ability to download apps. Comfortable clothing and the ability to easily navigate outdoors are a necessity.

"Hagg Lake Magic" Using multiple layered images, drawing and painting them to create a land-escape image from seemingly banal images taken individually.

"Surreal Sunday" I play with images that I photograph. In this case, I took images within a city block to spoof a Duck stamp painting contest. I layered them together, trying to lighten up the stress for the folks participating.
